The Opera House is one of the last remaining super clubs in the UK, and houses one of the loudest and best quality funktion 1 sound systems on the South Coast. A popular venue with students and mental clubbers alike.
It is a massive venue with two large rooms on different floors and a balcony with tiered seating in keeping with the conversion from a real life Opera House.
Fridays is the best of hard house and trance in the form of Slinky and drum'n'bass in the back room with Cocoshebeen.
Slinky has been going for almost 10 years now, and is one of the longest running weekly dance nights in the UK. With the likes of Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, the Tidy Boys, Lisa Lashes, Ferry Corsten and Armin Van Buuren making regular appearances, Slinky is definitely a night not to miss out on... Keep your eyes peeled for Slinky's 10th birthday celebrations - May 4th 2007 - With a very very very very special DJ guest set to host the party celebrations!!!
Slinky also tours around the world, with successful parties in New Zealand, Europe, Australia, America, and Hong Kong, all happening on a regualr basis!
Cocoshebeen IS the longest running weekly Drum and Bass night, which also see's number 1 DJs and MCs such as Andy C, Mampi Swift, Pendulum, Hype, Goldie, IC3, Eksman, Dynamite, Skibadee... the list is endless!
The Opera House also hosts many other parties, including One Nation and Hardcore Heaven - both of which are always major sell outs, selling out at least a week before the gig!
Saturdays are a mix of nights from Tribal Sessions, through to live music... check out www.operahouse.co.uk
The Opera House puts Bournemouth on the map, so if you're in town, make sure you check us out - we promise you that you won't be disappointed!
