The application has to be written to access it tho Matt, otherwise it'll be the same.

Logic can access a Dual core using an I/O trick.

thats kinda waht i mean there aint nothing out there taking advantage of it yet.

If you going to get a new computer I would wait until the new Intel macs get all the bugs sorted. Apple have released a beta version of a program called boot camp which means the mac can emulate the PC and any progs you run on PC will be able to run on it. Most of the flagship sequencers are doing developments to take full advantage of this. It's the VST's and plug ins that will take time to catch up. They are offering Dual core intel macs with better performance than the G5's - or so they say. If these can run most PC apps what more could you ask for. best of both worlds really. get the latest edition of Soundonsound mag for a full review and update with more info.

If your serious about music, youve got to get a mac, its not just about speed, you can run so many programms simultainiously and they just have loads of features to increase your workflow.

If you have a P.C you can't run Logic

It might be a lot of money but you get what you pay for. Your probably better off waiting until you can afford one.

Trust me Ableton runs amazing on it. How long does it take to analyse tunes for you at the moment?

My computer that ive got at the moment is rubbish and cant handle what i want it to do at all.

The only problem with the mac is the money side of things, i would love to have one but its not looking good at the moment.

Maybe i better start saving! Big grin
