The information needs a wider audience than just HF.

Putting it on HF means there's no chance of a large audience.

Good luck with it seriously. I doubt these words when they do hit the big wide world will have any chance of changing predominantly world wide legislation. At least you'll have tried though.

Can you even say who might be publishing it?

I'd rather not mention any names as there are plenty of sad bastards on here who'd look to throw a spanner in the works.

Give us a clue, is it a magazine, newspaper?

There are several names I've been given as likely candidates to entertain it. I got these by e-mailing one of my favourite Guardian freelance writers, who specialises in human rights, and has written drugs articles before.

He kindly gave me some advice on who to approach, and said it was best to wait for a major drugs story to break, as it'll be an easier sell.

I'm not expecting front page of The Times, or even for it to be published at all, but I spent ages writing it, and it's something I feel passionately about. It's nice to at least try, eh?

Personally, I say good for you.
Better to be putting you time to something constructive than argueing on here imo.

If you arent going to be trying to get this published in the near future, are you going to be writing something else in the mean time?

I've already completed massive essays on both religion and existentialism, which I've posted here.

My next one will be loved by HF. It's going to be a piece on the neural misinterpretation of stimuli and how that kids people into love. I won't get too technical with the neuroscience, but rather more philosophical in terms of defining love and what it means to be loved etc.

It's about 5% done and was actually started before the drugs essay. Just I found a spark to write that one and shelved the love one.

I've already put the drugs essay through the ringer once and I've got lots of additional things to include, but I want to write them all up at the same time as I prepare to send it off, as I can then cater it to fit with whichever story happens to come out in the new.

As anybody on HF can attest, I really like writing. Razz

I hate it when Facebook friends fall out.

He removed me. I lolled!

Multiply it by infinity, and take it to the depth of forever, and you will still have barely a glimpse of what I'm talking about.
