Hiya
I'm thinking of buying a 30 GB ipod. I do 70-80 minute mixes onto a minidisc recorder, then put that onto my computer. I add track marks, and can make CDRs that play on my stereo as one continuous mix - no gaps and pauses between tracks. Will I be able to get these mixes onto an ipod and listen back without any gaps?
thanks for any advice anyone

A sixty minute mix, converted to a 320kbps mp3, will be around 130mb - you can work it out from there..

However, I suspect that your i-pod will be the i-tunes version of an mp3 so, I dont know about the file size of a comparable i-tunes file.

that's not what he asked. he bascially wants to know if ipods support CUE files.

Yes you can listen to mixes on iPods without gaps.
The new iPods and iTunes 7.0 introduced support for this.

I don't mean to sound bitter, cold or cruel, but I am, so that's how it comes out.

the new ipods have taken away mp3 loading times and the small amount of silence encoded at the end of the track (due to the way how audio is grouped in the mpeg algorithm )?

I heard itunes have but if the newer ipods have fixed this also then that’s very impressive. (and about bloody time one of the mp3 players have done so)
