I usualy just use Cubase for mixing recordings and stuff like that and when I have made songs in it I have always rewired Reasons Redrum into it but am wondering how I make a drum kit out of my own samples or do I have to use seperate tracks/their shitty drums?

u cld try using something like native instruments battery vsti as a drum sampler maybe...
also can anyone tell me how to fine tune a vst synth in sx3 by afew cents as i cant do it in the synth im using..? it was easy in fruity as u cld control a chanels pitch without any hassel......

It entirely depends on the plug in. They will usually have tuning controls in the oscillators section. Each oscillator will have it's own fine tune usually.
You can use MIDI cc data but it's more effort, it will apply to all oscillators though, I guess it depends on what you're trying to achieve?

cheers i was using two linplug octopus's, i cant work out how to change the ocsillators fine pitch and when i tweak the synths global fine tuning both the synths pitch change at the same time, it might just be that particular synth tho... also does anyone know if cubase sx 3.1.1 should run run quite stable on an amd althlon 2000+ with 1gig ram, cos i keep getting loads of "serious errors" and it chucks me out of the program which is a pain if it wernt for setting the autosave for 2minutes.. :9

I'd never even heard of that one til now so I can't really help. I do that some synths, for example Vanguard, have a single control that allows you to move the tuning of the osciallors apart. It's labelled 'fat' on Vanguard. Maybe there's something like that.
Assuming that it's legit it should be pretty stable (some cracks cause horrendous instability). I've not run it on an Athlon but had no serious issues running on an Intel PC. Does it give any indication as to the cause of the serious error? Anything you're doing just before it crashes?
How do I get a vocal sample to match the BPM of the track under construction. I've tried editing the sample in the track, as a rex file but it just doesn't sound right
