DJ MAG REVIEW:
Diss-cuss
Save The Day
Toolbox

Nik Denton's Toolbox label have pulled off the signing of the season so far by securing the rights to remix and re-release the 1994 club classic 'Save The Day' by Diss-cuss, of which Trade DJ Malcolm Duffy was one half of the production duo. Needless to say that Nik gets in on the remix action himself here, turning in a faithful update of the original with the unmistakable synth riffs and "love will save the day" vocals kept intact, and without a trace of the trademark Toolbox hoovers to heard anywhere! Pete Wardman & Ryan Fisher are also called upon for remix duties and serve up one of their best works to date, adding plenty of atmosphere to a teasing breakdown sequence that has the dancefloor ready to explode by the time it reaches its peak. What a shame there aren't more original anthems like this made nowadays… Diss-cuss saves the day once again!
Rating: 5/5 (Simon Eve - DJ Mag 393 June 05)

Cheers
Nik

sacrilege, is nothing sacred. Play slower sets and play the original. Razz

Seriously, I wouldn't mind a copy, and it will get played out. Smile
