Liquid Bloom & Porangui

» Kuya Sessions : Cura

Reviewed by Pete M / Submitted 06-06-24 20:29

Label: Sol Creation Records
Format: Digital
Genre: Ambient

Spanning four albums and three remix albums, the Kuya Sessions on Sol Creation are really the zenith of ambient meditation music. Composed and produced by Liquid Bloom and Porangui, the first album, Cura, introduced the series and the theraputic nature of meditation music. And yes, this is a trance album full of lush sounds, ethereal vocals and relaxing ambience.

Granted, the album has three tracks but they're hugely expansive and find their way into your mind and psyche; helping tiredness and giving a general feel of well-being. I like the sound design here. In fact, I like the sound design of all four albums. Liquid Bloom knows the secret to a good psychedelic therapy album, with his work as Desert Dwellers with Treaver Moontribe, but his beatless work as LB is really exceptional.

The album is best experienced in its full length seamless format as it works from rising to falling. All three tracks are blended together in full and form a cohesive package of lush sound.
