Tidy kick off the first of their new series of compilation albums, Music For a Harder Generation with one of their biggest stars and original Tidy girl Anne Savage on track selection duties.
CD1 is a hard, dark and techy offering from Miss Savage with fresh out of the studio tracks such as her latest collaboration with BK, 'Hellraiser' and Glazby's 'Techsture' doing the dancefloor damage, rearrange the words 'nails, hard, as' for a clue as to the nature of this mix. Towards the end a few more driving tracks come in with OD404's 'Panic Button', Defective Audio's 'Floorburn' and the oh so dirty 'Hallucination' by the Edison Factor finishing things off on a nice groove.
CD2 shows the Tidy Girl's more melodic side with trancier offerings like Nukleuz signings the Disco Brothers 'The Sound' and the excellent Tomcat release 'I'm still Free' paving the way. Ingo has three tracks on this disk (including alter-ego Neutron Tom) all showing how much he's progressed from the old oinky stuff of yester-year. Anne's new track 'Four Leaf Clover' and 'Take Hold' from Project Mayhem stand out towards the end at the second half of the CD, great tunes.
Loads of upfront tracks here and if you like it hard then this will doubtless do it for you. The next two installments in this series will feature Yoji Biomehanika and Lisa Lashes.
