This month the wheels of steel will be graced by the legendary Dub Pistols front man Barry Ashworth. With remix credentials including Moby, Filter and Limp Bizkit; Barry Ashworth’s highly acclaimed production talent has made him a highly respected figure amongst the beatist community. The Dub Pistols head honcho will be serving up a healthy portion of Breakbeat mayhem that will leave the masses reeling for more.
Fat! Records proudly present their latest signing Merka, celebrating his first Fat! 12” release ‘Hug A Speaker’. Merka has kicked up a storm with previous releases on Big Square Records and a track on Re-Connect being selected by Breakbeat legends The Freestylers for their FabricLive mix C.D. In true Fat! Club style Merka will be ripping through The End’s colossal sound system with a veritable banquet of current Breakbeat goodies. This set is not to be missed and as Fat Record’s latest recruitment; Merka will be on a sure fire mission to absolutely smash the dancefloor to pieces!
Carrying on the Fat festivities will be none other than the founder of In-Flight Records, one Danny McMillan, on the eve of his new album release. Danny is currently globe trotting to promote this release and by all accounts is living up to his reputation for kick starting the party with his generous helping of beefy breaks and floor filling basslines.
Following that will be a Simple Records special, Will Saul back to back with Precision Cuts, belting out a set of cutting edge funkiness. Armed with truckloads of their own abundant back catalogue of prestigious releases along side their refined armoury of superb deck techniques; these guys are sure to bring the house down with their booty shakin’ boundary breakin’ sounds.
In the Lounge this month will be the sounds of Schtum providing the very best in luscious down tempo funk grooves from today’s underground dance scene. Mekon of Wall of Sound fame will be laying down the bizness alongside Bushy from the Catskills camp, Asif from Breakin’ Bread and more.
Definately the Fattest and friendliest breaks night around!!
