Solid Steel’s Cheeba is an audio-visual turntablist known to cut and paste anything and everything you’ve ever seen, heard or imagined. With his decks and projector at the ready, prepare for an exclusive and extended mix bound to blow your mind, scratching and juggling both sounds and videos into the mix with additional camera feeds and special FX for stunning live results.
Fellow Solid Steel compatriot DJ Moneyshot is up next. Officially DJ Food’s favourite DJ, Moneyshot has smashed parties across the globe sharing stages with the likes of Coldcut, Public Enemy, Grandmaster Flash, Gilles Peterson and Krafty Kuts. With his killer formula of straight-up club bangers, curveball oddities, live mash-ups, jaw-dropping turntable skills, funky breaks and hip-hop classics the night is set to go off.
Mr Dex landed a regular spot at legendary London based hip-hop radio station Itch FM in ‘02 and has since rocked venues including The Jazz Cafe and Fabric, alongside artists such as Jazzy Jeff, Estelle, Ghostface & Raekwon. Mr Dex will pay tribute to the late great Guru Jazzmatazz.
Sketchy B's future is looking bright, having seen remixes for the likes of Erik Hassle and The Good Natured find their way to prime time spots on Radio 1 and 1xtra. After smashing shows at the Charterhouse and Mother Bar we welcome Sketch to tear up the crowd with a glistening late set full of ground-breaking beats, rhythms and mash-ups.
Also tonight, Carlotek will be banging out the newest, most forward-thinking beats, whether it be the raw sounds of Ninja Tune, the electricity of Four Tet or booming soundscapes of Flying Lotus. Carlotek is no stranger to acclaim with the likes of Roger Sanchez , Chris Lake and Dubfire all tipping their hats to this rising talent.
