A new night of nu-disco, funk and soul has arrived on Leeds’ clubbing
radar and it’s set to play out at one of the city’s most historically
important venues, the newly re-opened Warehouse. In a city
swimming in uber trendy European techno sounds, Vibe aims to offer a
soulful, funky, cosmic musical life raft for those looking to float
through their Friday eve’s on a different Vibe.
Offering the sorts of retro, funked-up grooves not on offer anywhere
else, Vibe aims to bring the good times back to Leeds with a host of
learned and respected talents from around the world.
The residents in the main room are Leftside Wobble and Death on the
Balcony, whilst Anton Bailey and Tony Walker play alongside guests in
the bar playing chilled house grooves and making sure the music you
wanna hear never stops playing.

25/06 – Ashley Beedle
A house music DJ with reggae influences; a member of foremost
house group X-Press 2 and living legend Ashley Beedle headlines the
final Vibe of June. Now running the label Out Hear Audio which
showcases his own productions, he remixes everyone from Bob Marley
to and even gets props on Daft Punk’s track ‘Teachers’ which lists the
groups influences.
Expect a fine set of deep disco, house and more from someone who
has had a foot in the music industry for such a long time he puts most
contemporary DJs to shame!
