With his hugely popular Radio 1 show, a Cream/Ibiza residency and accompanying mix compilations, Goodgreef and Fire It Up residencies, as well as his huge energy and ability to turn a simple mixer into a full musical production machine... Eddie Halliwell is the real deal!! Now firmly established as one of the leaders he still remains one of the few to have got so far by being simply a DJ. Not one for the studio, Eddie has carved out his position in dance music by the very sets he plays and with this has won a legion of fans in the process. Recognised by Radio 1 for this very fact and his broad, far reaching musical appreciation, his Radio 1 show has become one of the most listened to on the station and Eddie continues to headline festivals and events worldwide. On Friday 15th February, our mate Eddie makes his first Gallery appearance of 2008, where he’ll be joined by another success story in the making - the man who can, Markus Schulz. Markus was one of our success stories of 2007 headlining several Gallery events and proving that he more than deserves his position in the Top 20 of the DJ Mag Top 100. A US DJ with a difference, Markus’s appeal stretches worldwide whether it be his Global DJ Broadcast radio show that has become one of the most listened to and widely respected, or his impressive and ever consistent Cold Harbour Recordings label which has been responsible for a plethora of dance floor destroyers... Markus has emerged as a popular DJ and musically has toughened his sets slightly of late, leading to mayhem on dancefloors wherever he has been. Part of the Gallery family and one of its favourite sons Remy makes a return also this week. One of the most musically clued up producers and DJs to grace Clerkenwell, Remy enjoys a unique position being able to wow die hand trance fans as he warms up for one of their favourite headliners such as Armin or being able to convert the most sceptical house music fan who may have wandered between rooms. Whether it be on his own or with occasional studio partner Roland Klinkenberg, Remy will no doubt be bringing yet more of his studio’s latest creations with him and for that we can’t wait! Also on the bill will be The Gallery’s legendary weekly resident Gavyn Mytchel, plus regular Chris Linnell on the all-important early warm up slot.
Offering a contrast to the big room beats of the main room, T2 is this week hosted by the winners of the Gallery DJ competition - the ever busy Union DJs who’ve taken London town by the horns this year by putting on a series of student parties from Ministry of Sound to Fabric as well as appearing alongside the likes of Eric Prydz to Pendulum. Here the boys with the plan have cherry picked Luke Dzierzek to headline their Turnmills session and provide the support to Luke with their full on, high energy persona behind the decks. It’s set to be a proper goodun we think!!
Finally, T3 welcomes back Mass Recordings who’ve now begun to cement their London home at The Gallery with this their third session in the capital with us of late. Here they welcome a headline appearance by Twocker; a project put together by two popular and successful DJ/producers in their own rights - Will Bailey and Calvertron; this is one of their first showings of the Twocker project and with resident / boy wonder Kieran Brindley and Lui Florez, Rob Bradley and AMF also set to get in on the action, this is going to be another Mass party of madness we’re sure!
