Rootikal Friday 7th October at East Village with David Rodigan
On Friday 7th of October Rootikal welcomes David Rodigan back to East Village.
The last couple of years have seen Rodigan's reach grow phenomenally as he's been embraced by people discovering his unique talent for the first time. From dubstep nights in east London to massive festival crowds the world over, there seems to be no stopping the takeover by the man known as Ramjam. At Rootikal Rodigan will be carrying a diverse selection to cover all bases from classic rocksteady to the freshest pre-releases plus, of course, the legendary dub-plate specials that have helped him dominate soundclashes over the last three decades.
The Rootikal crew of Earl Gateshead, David Hill, Stuart Patterson and Mr Faso will also be spinning in the basement alongside Rodigan, aided by Prince Terralox on the mic.
The lounge upstairs is given over to our friends Size Doesn't Matter, London's longest running 45s only night, who will be digging deep in their 7" collections for some choice soul and funk gems. Representing SDM are Si Kurrage, Mr Shiver and their special guest for the night Severino.
If the last Rodigan night is anything to go by, this will be a capacity - one in, one out - night, so arrive early.
The session starts early in the basement at 9.00pm and runs until 3.30am.
