More: The UK’s favourite electronic music festival returns to the rural tree lined idyll of Daresbury in Cheshire on Saturday 25th August Bank Holiday weekend. This global award winning event just gets bigger and better, this year they continue their commitment to live music with over 12 bands performing and have secured one of the finest, coolest, mouth watering line ups ever, carefully put together with the sole objective to give you the experience of a lifetime.

Headlining this year’s festival is the Chemical Brothers. Friends of the family Tom & Ed return to the North for what will no doubt be a long overdue smash up performing some classics and refreshing new tracks from their highly acclaimed new album. Over the last decade the Chem’s have pushed the boundaries turning dance culture on its head and giving it a good shake, inventing and transcending big beat and trail blazing their way to the top of their field. Joining them on the awe inspiring Main Stage are super stylers Groove Armada, without doubt one of the most successful and multi talented dance acts in the UK. Having reinvented the house music wheel and played fast & loose with other genres besides, this Grammy nominated duo have had everyone from Elton John to the ibizan massive singing their praises. Adding a smattering of glamour to the Main Stage is Kelis. A surprising but all round fantastic coup for Creamfields. She has proved to be one of the freshest young voices of her generation and with people like the Neptune’s and Outkast snapping to work with her who are we to argue!

Continuing with Live music Grammy nominee and the Pharrell Williams of punk-funk LCD Soundsystem rocks up, along with Mark Ronson, this New York based Brit who won Music Producer of the year has worked with such high calibre artistes such as Amy Winehouse and Christina Aguilera. For the first time Liverpool boy/girl experimental outfit Ladytron perform, with a sound described as ‘electronica with a fist’, these guys manage to successfully fuse computer rock with lingering catchy dance hooks expect to be taken on a journey…with guitars!

Also returning to Creamfields is Arctic Monkey producers Simian Mobile Disco, this manc duo will get you dancing your arses off, guaranteed. 5 piece indie rave band New Young Pony Club perform, fresh off the back of their Lilly Allen and NME tour with the Klaxons, you may have also heard their foot tapping ‘Ice Cream’ track on the Intel commercial, definitely ones to watch for 2007. In addition electronic dance collective Freeform Five join the long list of live acts to this years show. Their unique sound that is an inspired mix of Prince, Blondie and Kraftwerk explains why they are in remix demand from artistes such as N*E*R*D, Brian Wilson and the Killers. Pendulum Live head up the Beatdown arena, this aussie trio delivered the biggest selling drum and bass album in 2005, their trademark sound is typically heavy with beats accompanied by low buzzing basslines and is the reason they have been described as one of the best live D&B bands ever.

Returning for the first time in 7 years and back by popular demand is Carl Cox. The big man, the godfather and general uber jock makes the journey to Cheshire for one of only 2 festival UK dates this summer. He’s the Champion of Techno whom when he performs emits a love of his work that is dangerously infectious. He will be headlining this years enormous Cream & Goodgreef Arena. Hosted by M8 Magazine, Carl will be joined by scratch wizard Eddie Halliwell, who will be flying back from Cream Ibiza just for the occasion, he’s one of only a handful of DJ’s that can fill a 10,000 capacity arena at 5pm and have the whole colossal army chanting his name. Dutch DJ/Producer Ferry Corsten jets in, one DJ firmly parked at the forefront of the dance scene, the rest of the line up includes Marco V, Sander Kleinenberg, Yousef, Hernan Cattaneo, Above & Beyond, Adam Sheridan and Gareth Wyn

The inimitable Subliminal Arena returns, lead by head honcho Erick Morillo who is an entertainer in every sense of the word, with him he brings a roster of booty shaking talent that reads like a whose who of the US house mafia including Steve Angello, David Guetta, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, Tom Novy, Harry Choo Choo Romero, Jorge Jaramillo and Jose Nunez.

As well as livening up this year’s line up, which over the years has proved a successful festival formula that has made Creamfields famous, organisers have added a new arena to the show. MySpace Presents Futurism brings an impressive selection of cutting edge artistes including pioneers of the mashup scene 2ManyDJs, Dave Clarke who continues to hold the crown and reputation as one of the world’s finest techno and electro DJ’s. Other exciting additions include French vocalist and DJ Miss Kittin, Canadian electroclash standard bearer Tiga, crunchy electro DJ and tipped as the new Daft Punk Justice performs live, joined by Kissy Sell Out, an act that has emerged from the MySpace generation of cool nerds and sonic visionaries and performs everything from Klaxons acid-indie disco through to Justice’s ultra modern electro.

The Chibuku Arena returns for a 4th year in a different format, this year will be co-hosted by Radio 1’s Annie Mac, and brought to you in association with DJ Mag and headlined by true lord of the underground and undoubtedly one of Gemany’s biggest exports Sven Vath. One of the coolest arenas on site, pushing exciting new talent to the forefront, expect eye opening sets from one of the hardest pronouncable names in music MSTRKRFT (Masterkraft), Erol Alkan, Claude Von Stroke and Tane.

Hard house hedonists Tidy return for another year of debauchery, with a line up that includes the ever entertaining Tidy Boys, a live performance from hotly tipped Edison Factor, Lisa Pin up, Rob Tissera, Mark EG, Andy Whitby, Kutski, Amber D, Nick Sentience, Alex Kid, Guyver, JP & Jukesy, The Colonel and Kim Ayres.

With drum and bass making a well deserved return to Creamfields last year and becoming one of the successes of the event we welcome back The Scratch Perverts who will be hosting the Beatdown Arena. If your guilty pleasure is hot stepping it to the bassline, then expect dirty sets from Evil Nine, Andy C, DJ Hype, DJ Marky, DJ Yoda, No Fakin DJ’s, MC Dynamite, MC GQ, IC3, SAS and Futurebound to name but a few.

Creamfields wouldn’t be the same without Strongbow Ciderhouse and they return for a 5th year with an eclectic mixture of new and emerging talent including Zombie Squad, The Whip (Live), Black Ghosts (Live), Kris Bones, Cagedbaby (DJ), Uffie & Feadz, Sinden and Radioclit, what better soundtrack to have whilst kicking back in the sun and drinking alfresco.

Continuing on from the huge success of 2006, we are pleased to welcome back Galaxy as official radio partners as well as hosting their own stage which will be hosted by Andi Durrant and Paul Kershaw, Creamfields will be broadcast live across the airwaves and online www.galaxyfm.co.uk.
