It’s the one we’ve all been waiting for…
AHEAD, the club whose name has been on the nation’s lips since its inception in May of this year announces the details of its first New Year’s Eve party. And in true AHEAD style it will be a massive, all encompassing all-nighter moving you through the most upfront house, breaks, tech, trance, progressive and techno tracks which are hot off the presses.
On 31st December The Adelphi in Sheffield will be home to Sheffield’s finest party people, astounding production and fabulous music, setting the standard for every other club in the UK to follow in 2005. The party will celebrate not only the arrival of a new year but also the welcome return of clubbing to its spiritual home – Sheffield.
Aside from the headline act which Ahead which will be announced soon, an awesome New Year’s Eve soundtrack will be provided by Hybrid and the UK’s most famous DJ pairing Scott Bond (Ahead co -founder) and Matt Hardwick, playing back to back. Expect a sea of hands as these two NYE DJ masters, smash the dance floor.
For the first time ever resident DJ, Ben Lost will be exclusively performing live on stage (with The Young Parisians on piano) the Ahead anthem ‘Jump The Next Train’. The main room line-up is completed by the truly uplifting sounds provided by Solarstone and Dutch sensation Matthew Dekay.
Room Two will be hosted by The Pin-Up Club supplying their special brand of funky house which will keep people grooving till dawn.
All these fantastic sounds will be delivered though the tallest stack of speakers, (delivering over 25,000 watts of crystal clear sound) The Adelphi has ever seen and the magnificent décor will be illuminated by a raft of vibrant multi-coloured lasers and bounce mirrors to put a Star Wars X-Wing fighter battle to shame.
Straddling Ahead’s huge stage, there will be 2 massive 15ft x15ft projection screens with an ongoing live visual show created and presented by Ahead Resident VJ, Steve Gormley.
And if this is all too hot for revellers then Ahead’s fabulous Open Air Garden offers the perfect place to chill, alfresco style, amidst the stars and the twinkling lights so party people can cool off and freshen up before rejoining the party.
